Hello all, I am doing a self-paced RH294 course and I would like to take all the work I am doing in the lab, basically all the .ym files I created in the lab. Is there a way?
I tried Command paste on my mac after grabbing/ yanking in vim but it won't work.
Any ideas please?
I think, if you start the GUI in the browser there is functionality to copy/paste through that. How well it works (preservation of whitespace, which is very important in yaml) is something I don't know. The only other thing you could do is recreate it when you make it.
@zak1 -
I believe that the environment is Internet connected, so you should be able to save your work in a Github repository. If you are using a free or trial offering, you might not have Internet access. In the event you don't have Internet access, you should have access to the Classroom Web App. This gives you a Jupyter notebook connected to the workstation VM and copy/paste work just fine as well as file transfers. Use that instead of the VNC console as it only allows you to copy/paste from your local machine into the lab environment and it doesn't always preserve the YAML files as the spacing and formatting can get messed up.
I've provided some of my work from teaching the AAP courses in the Github repos linked below. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Travis.
Am able to that.
I am finishing my course in a week so I won't have access to the labs and videos for RH 294 anymore.
Is there a cheaper version of RHLS subscription?
Maybe for Developers or students? I'd like that so I can continue pursuing my learning journey in RH world.
