Hello Red Hat Academy Administrators, Instructors and students!
We are so excited to launch the new Red Hat Academy Learning Platform! With migration to the new platform to explore the new features, enhancements and overall experience, we wanted to provide an open forum to post any questions, access resources and discuss various topics within the Red Hat Academy community.
Resources to get started:
Each existing Red Hat Academy partner (Administrator at the institution) will be receiving an email invitation to the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform, at which point Academy Admins can begin adding instructors.
We hope you enjoy the new platform and look forward to open discussion, collaboration and an overall new experience to manage and teach your Red Hat classes!
Enjoy!
Lauren Parrish, RHA Global Project Manager
Hi, the videos show that you can add students to a class using just their email. However, I find that they must already have a 'RHN-ID' before I can add them to a class.
Can you clarify this please.
Regards,
Kenny
Hey Kenny,
Your students must create a Red Hat ID before you can add them to a class. We recently made updates to the video to reflect this communication as well - thank you for catching that!
In addition, your regional rep should have some instructions to provide to you to share with your students in regards to creating a Red Hat ID.
If you are unable to access the link above, reach out to your regional rep and they can send you the PDF version.
Thanks!
Lauren
Is it just me, or is the material for RHSA I 8, actually the old RHSA I 7 material? The labs do not relate to the RHEL 8 virtual machine.
It does indeed appear to have just been me. An acknowledged bug in the system which has now been fixed.
This is another reason why instructors should be able to look at the content of the course, just as the students see it.
Hi,
After more than a week since we became an academic partner with the Red Hat Academy, we still do not have access to instructions and images for installing and setting up a local lab. We have contacted support but there is still no response from them.
Do we have to request images from Red Hat support for each new course or should we have everything by default on our platform.
Thanks and stay safe...
