Subsription Expiry

Jump to solution

Hello Team,

Greetings. I am not sure this is the right forum to ask below questions or not. So please, accept my apology in advance if it is not and guide me on how to get the needed answers. Thank you.

I am reaching out to seek your advice regarding my upcoming learning subscription expiration on the 10th of April. I have a few inquiries regarding the management of my subscription and associated exams:

- Can I schedule an exam with a date after the 10th of April?
- In the event that I am unable to pass any of the two exams before my subscription expires, will I still be eligible for a free re-attempt?
- Once my subscription expires, will the content and classes I have enrolled in, whether completed or not, remain accessible?
- Due to the unavailability of exam slots in UAE, I have booked one of my exams in a center in Egypt. Is this arrangement acceptable?

Additionally, if there is a direct phone number available for easier communication, kindly provide it.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and guidance.

Hello @Lamiaa ,

"Can I schedule an exam with a date after the 10th of April?"
Nope, you can't. RedHat Exam Scheduler will not allows you to book exam after the expiration date.

"Once my subscription expires, will the content and classes I have enrolled in, whether completed or not, remain accessible?"
I guess, nope. Once your Learning Sub is expired, you don't have access to learning materials if they are under Learning Subscription scope. Different story is for Redhat Partners, because they should have access to learning materials ( without exam vouchers ), after RLS expiration.

"Due to the unavailability of exam slots in UAE, I have booked one of my exams in a center in Egypt. Is this arrangement acceptable?"
Yes, it is.

cheers,

As long as your subscription is valid, you can take a retake for faild exam. As far as I know, once RHLS is expired, you should not have access either to exams or retakes.

@Lamiaa I believe all of your questions are answered.

I don't think there is any direct contact number to reach out to the concerned team.
But you can raise a ticket by sending email to certification-team@redhat.com or using the link - https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments

The concerned team will review it and revert to you via email.

I had a subscription last year and bought one for another year. During the
time in between the purchase of the second year, I was unable to look at
the labs. I was able to download pdf(s) for , I believe , 5 courses before
my expiration date. I was able to keep those. I'm not sure about the
scheduling after your subscription time; however, I know that all things
stopped for me on my expiration date.

Exam vouchers must be claimed before the RHLS subscription expirations. Exams must also be scheduled from the voucher before the RHLS subscription expiration. If you look at your voucher once claimed, it will have an expiration date which matches your RHLS Subscription. So the voucher is good for the duration of the subscription.

Likewise, as the current policy stands, the retake for a failed exam must also take place during the RHLS subscription window. This is done to manage expectations and also helps prevent abuse and leads to the best success rates. Otherwise, what could happen is people have an RHLS subscription for an entire year, claim all their vouchers the week the subscription is expiring and then attempt to take their exams (not an ideal scenario).
