This, because I had to use my small laptop screen instead of my 27 inch monitor. How to zoom in should be part of the exam intro and when you do your system check it should be explained and encourage you to test it.
Hi Justin, you are right. People could be informed about zooming options.
Something like this

Ctrl ++ or in console setfont -d
HI, I am Piyush. I am going to take remote exam next week.
I have wireless keyboard and wireless mouse connected with bluetooth dongle which passed the compatibility test.
Do these wireless keyboard and wireless mouse along with bluetooth USB dongle are allowed in the exam ?
Morever, I have internal and an external USB web camera, but I am wondering if I close the lid of laptop when I connect external monitor, Will proctor allow to use only one web camera (externally connected with laptop) because laptop lid will be closed during the exam and will have to use only one camera.
Thanks much for in advance for your prompt reply. Appreciate this community very much.
I'm pretty sure that wireless mouse is not allowed during exam - I have Logitech mouse and it passed compatibility test. I had to replace mine with mouse with USB cable to be compliant with exam requirements. As for camera - I have only one external camera and it was allowed on exam. But you should be prepared for few room "scans" so camera cable longer than 1m is preferred.
Thanks much for your answer. IF mouse wasn't allowed, I guess, I will have to drop the keyboard plan as well.
Yes, wireless keyboard is out:
Keyboard: Only one keyboard is allowed for the exam. If you wish to use an external, wired keyboard with your laptop, you will have to keep the lid closed. This will require the use of an external monitor and wired mouse as well. Wireless keyboards are not permitted.
Hi,
What you said is correct, the source is here:
Cheers,
Hi,
The compatibility test is there to test some of the hardware and help candidates reassuring them their setup is going to be ok. "Passing" it does not means your setup is fully approved.
What is important is following the official requirements, see:
Mouse: A wired mouse is optional but recommended. A wireless mouse is not allowed. A wired mouse is required if you use a laptop with the lid closed as described below
You will not be allowed to proceed with the exam with that setup...
Remember there is a proctor also, watching and monitoring the candidates during the exams...
As for the webcam, " Webcam: One external webcam with at least a 1m cable.".
That means yes, you are ok with only your external webcam (and the laptop lid closed).
Good luck with the exam!
I just completed creating a bootable usb device per the remote exam instructions and upon rebooting for the first time in order to run a compatibility check the process hung showing "a start job is running for activation of dm raidsets" with error of "dm raid [966] segfault at o ip 00007f13bdb2a563 sp 00007fff3fdb20a8 error 4 in libc-2.31,so" .
all subsequent reboots hung with the same error.
How to resolve? Need help please. If this is the wrong forum to resolve errors please direct me to correct forum.
