You don’t need to install the OS. It will be a Live Os (like any other Live
Os)

It won’t install anything on your local machine.. even it won’t touch any
files or disks. (You cannot access your local hard disk basically)

You just need a laptop or workstation with accessories as needed.

Hi. I installed the remote exam image on the USB but get a black screen after my PC is rebotted and the image is loaded. The screen flickers if the keyboard or mouse is clicked. It is otherwise non-responsive. Please advise as I have an exam scheduled within a week.

You didn’t mention which workstation you are using (PC or Mac).
There are some reported issues for Mac. Also for some PC models.

Do you have an option to check with other PCs

Hi.

I am using my personal Dell Inspirion Windows 10 PC. The only other computer I have is my work laptop and writing to the USB is disabled. Thus I need to get this working in order to take the exam in a few days.

Do you have an exact model of the Dell Inspirion? I wonder if there is a specific issue with the model you have in combination with Fedora (the distribution that the Red Hat exam is based on).

Hi all,

I have en exam on Monday. I just run the compatibility test from live image: On hardware compatibility page I was able to see feeds from my two webcams (laptop built-in and external) but on the next page (streaming compatibility) only internal webcam feed is shown.

Did this mean that I have issue with my external webcam or I can ignore this since it was detected on hardware check?

thank you.

You can ignore it since it was detected in the hardware check. I know it says that to verify that the ID details are visible on an external webcam, so just show your ID in the hardware check and verify that it is visible there.
