User / Member Ranks here in the RHLC (Red Hat Learning Community)

Jump to solution

Hi, everyone!

I know that this RHLC (Red Hat Learning Community) is powered by the "Lithium Platform" / "Khoros Communities" - https://khoros.com/powered-by-khoros

I've noticed that each of us (users / members) here at the RHLC has a "Rank" (which basically is a Level), as I believe is the case of other communities that are powered by the same "Lithium" / "Khoros" platform. As I've not found a list of those Ranks here - and thinking that other users like myself may also be interested to know - I am compiling this post to write the Ranks (or Levels) that I've found so far:

Rank NumberRank NameIcon
Level 1Cadet
Level 2Mission Specialist
Level 3Flight Engineer
Level 4Starfighter
Level 5Commanderric_0-1755549917742.png

By the way, my current Rank (as of today, 23rd September 2024) is "Flight Engineer" (Level 3).

Also, I'm assuming "Starfighter" is Level 4, but I could be wrong! Am I wrong? I haven't found anyone with a "normal" Rank above "Starfighter". Is there any? (UPDATE on 18th August 2025: I've added a "Level 5" row, for the "Commander" rank, which currently seems to have been awarded only to @Trevor)

There are also some "Special Ranks" (by the way, the "Special Ranks" expression is mine. I don't know what is the Official expression):

Moderator

- Community Manager

I hope this information is interesting to other people. Please, feel free to reply to comment and/or to supplement and/or to correct this post of mine.

Thanks!

You’re right! “Starfighter” is indeed Level 4. I was a Starfighter myself, and over time, ranks are naturally earned based on activity and contributions. As for “normal” ranks above Starfighter, there aren’t any specific ranks above that at the moment.

As for making very active members Moderators, that’s a great suggestion! It could be a good way to recognize and empower those who consistently contribute. If you’re interested in becoming a moderator or know someone who might be, let me know—I’d love to discuss how we can get that set up!

Thanks for the reply, @TudorRaduta ! It seems to me that currently (August 2025), there is now a new User / Member Rank, here in the RHLC (Red Hat Learning Community). Specifically, I'm talking about the Rank of "Commander" (which should be "Level 5" in my User Ranks table). That Rank of "Commander", from what I've seen, seems to be currently awarded only to @Trevor. Could you please confirm if that's indeed the case?
