Hi @Veerakumar ,
I hope you had a good experience with your exam. I was hoping if you could share your experience, if there were any issues about the setup. Could you also tell us which camera you used? I am from India and planning to give my exam in a few days.
Hi Support,
I have sceduled an EXAM on Tomorrow (i.e Aug 17 08:30 AM IST), Currently time is 12:30 PM IST (Aug 16). But still "Your Exam Session" on the Remote Exam not showing my sceduled Exam.
Hi @Veerakumar
We can see your scheduled exam starting at 8:30 AM IST (UTC + 5.5).
The Scheduler portal will display your scheduled exams wtihin 24 hours from the time you schedule it when accessed separately. However, the 'Your Exams' button within the RE image will show it very near to the start time.
Only one external Webcam is required for the exam. The Webcam should have enough cable length so that it can be placed at an angle and distance acceptable to the Proctor for effective monitoring.
Wish you a successful and smooth exam experience!

Hi,
It appears that my inbuilt laptop keyboard faulty(home button is automatically pressed sometimes). So to avaoid this during the exam, I can use an external keyboard, but for that I will have to close my laptop lid, and for that I will have to buy a monitor, and now that my laptop lid is closed, I will need an external camera. And finally to make sure that the screen does not go black during a power failure, I will need a UPS too. Let me know if I got this right. Also, let me know if there is a better way to do this.
Hello @PraveenMishra,
An external Webcam is a mandatory requirement for Remote Exams. Hence you will need an external Webcam even if the integrated Webcam of your laptop was functioning.
External keyboard will need an external monitor and an external mouse, in addition to an external webcam. If the laptop does not have enough USB ports, you will need to use an external hub as well.
You can reconnect to the exam environment and resume the exam if there are short term interruptions in between. However, for a smooth exam experience, you should have a stable internet and power supply to your laptop.
Best Regards,
Shefeeq
Hi,
Thank you for responding. However, some moderator on remote exam discussion mentioned that only one camera is acceptable(laptop's built-in), also my compatibility test is passing using laptop's inbuilt camera only. Here you are saying one external webcam is mendatory, it is quite confusing. Anyways, I will use my laptop's camera and one external camera as there's not much clarification and also, rotating the external camera would be easier than rotating the laptop's camera.
Thanks Again!
Praveen
You should re-read what they said. the external camera is mandatory, which is what I said. No matter if you have a desktop or laptop, you have to have an external camera.
I had issues with the compability test on my laptop as well, but it seems to work ok during the exam (I tested 3 different machines prior). That part sometimes works and sometimes it doesnt.
Hi @PraveenMishra,
Sorry to hear about your confusion.
Have you read the reference document?
It is clearly saying: " Webcam: One external webcam with at least a 1m cable."

I hope that clarifies,
