@dchacon ,

Hi there,

The ticket has been generated as you have already received a confirmation email. (I also checked internally and your ticket is in the system.).
I assume the 500 error was ephemeral as I no longer see issues while submitting a ticket. However, I will let the team know.

Thanks!

I have a 13 inch MacBook Air 2017. My WiFi adapter is not detected by the Fedora live USB required for remote exams. My laptop does not have an ethernet port. Apart from switching laptops, can I do anything else to make WiFi work in Fedora?

I have a thunderbolt 2 (not USB-C) port in my laptop. Should I consider buying a thunderbolt 2 to ethernet adapter? Would Fedora detect an ethernet cable used this way? The adapter isn't cheap so if there's anything I could do to make WiFi work, that would be best!

Hi @HarishKM ,

Many models of Macbooks use customized Apple hardware components and are not fully compatible with Fedora 32 on which the exam bootable USB stick is based. There are issues with the built-in webcam and network adapters, built-in keyboards, and touchpad not being recognized.

In your case, there is no need to buy a rather expensive Thunderbolt 2 to Ethernet adapter (I have not tested on these either). A cheaper and safer solution is to get PC compatible USB to Ethernet adapter. Connect the adapter before booting the USB stick and select the network in the settings.

Best Regards,

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the requirement.

I'm using an IMAC and I have no choice regarding the keyboard and mouse. Both of them are wireless. As the requirement doc states that they are not allowed. Does it mean that I will not be able to take the exam remotely?

Hi, I might be arranging a remote exam. However, I only had a Macbook Pro 2020 (yes the one with a T2 chip). Are there any options that I could boot into apart from getting a Non-apple based laptop?

Hi @Ilyxa@davman ,

There are a few variables involved in converting an existing exam order to a different exam/version and it depends on your account type (RHLS/non-RHLS) and how the existing exam was purchased.
Please contact the regional sales/training team about this and they should be able to look up your account and answer your questions.

Best Regards,
