Hi all,

I have en exam on Monday. I just run the compatibility test from live image: On hardware compatibility page I was able to see feeds from my two webcams (laptop built-in and external) but on the next page (streaming compatibility) only internal webcam feed is shown.

Did this mean that I have issue with my external webcam or I can ignore this since it was detected on hardware check?

thank you.

You can ignore it since it was detected in the hardware check. I know it says that to verify that the ID details are visible on an external webcam, so just show your ID in the hardware check and verify that it is visible there.

Thank you @Rilindo ,

I sent an email to certification team in parallel of this post and just get their update: they confirmed your response.

In case of having multiple webcams, you must see multiple video feeds on the Hardware page of the compatibility test. Please note Streaming test page of the compatibility test shows one cam only, usually the internal one, if available. This is Okay.

Yes, mines was like that when I did the test too, but when I did the actual
exam, both the external and internal cameras were on. They will ask you the
position the external camera on your keyboard during the exam.

I do not have an external webcam, will i be allowed to proceed with exam, i have crossed the time to reschedule the exam so cannot postpone for buying it?

Is it mandatory to install the image on usb drive for exam, assuming these are online exams and compatibiltiy check was done for the browser, one doesnt need to install anything, correct me if i'm wrong?

The mail doesnt inform candidate of any image to be downloaded for the exam, rather asks for taking compatibility test which sounds enough, please clarify on this point.

Yes you definitely need an external webcam. You will not be allowed to take the exam without it. You should contact training support and ask them if you can reschedule.

The link for downloading ISO image on Mac seems to be broken.

https://rhdc-static-assets-prod.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboo...

I downloaded the image which probably is same for other listed OS.

https://static.redhat.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboot.iso

Please fix this.

Hello

I have created my bootable USB key for attempting a remote exam but I can't boot into the Red Hat Remote Exam Environment. It is stuck at 100% for 30+ minutes

Picture of the stuck boot : https://i.imgur.com/OWnstul.jpg

I am encoutering this problem on my ThinkPad T470s, but the same USB key successfully boot into the exam environment on a HP Elitebook (however I can't use that one for the exam).

I've also tried to boot this live USB on another ThinkPad T470 but the same exact problem occurs.

What should I do ? Did someone already encounter this ?

Thank you for your help
