Hello,
My exam date is approching and I'm trying to validate all details.
I still have a few questions, if you could help me.
1) Can I choose the Exam language ? I
2) I would like to know if I can use a splitted keyboard during the Exam?
thanks in advance
What do I do if the USB Image does not work correctly on any device I own or USB stick? It goes to 100% loading into memory and from there on, nothing for like 30 mins. I do not receive any answers on chat. Probably this not a standard question with a button for this answer.
These are my tries:
Ryzen 3900X/x570 board -> tower
Thinkpad T470
Lenovo B590 -> Ivy Bridge era laptop
AMD A320/Athlon 200GE Tower
Asus G751JT
USB Sticks:
- USB3 Kingston
- USB3 Adata
- USB3 Sandisk
Burned with Fedora tool (the tool never worked for me in the last 10 years of installing Fedora).
Tried with Rufus and DD on Linux.
Tried both the new and old image. It usually gets to 100% loading into memory and then it locks up. Drivers for USB keyboard/mouse just die and it doesn't even dump you into rescue mode or at least kernel panic. It does nothing.
on the 3900X machine it got after like 40 mins to dracut-timeout.
I also went through 3 different computers and 3 different drives to get mine to boot. I ended up having to use my surface pro which has no ethernet port and 1 USB port. Support told me it is a driver issue and the image only works on certain models of systems.
I had to take an exam today at 09:00 UTC.
After booting from the exam ISO and passing all compatibility checks, the button your exam says "you have no exam scheduled in the next 6 hours" ...
I have chatted with the support, they told me that the exam will not take place today, didn't understand why... Support advises me that I need to raise a ticket and reschedule my exam.
It's really frustrating after all the preparation and requirements that must be met.
After I raised the ticket, should wait up to 3 business days ...
If RedHat have some "technical issues" with delivering the exam, is it that hard to inform the affected people?!
Hi @mrpelovski
I'm sorry about your experience and the delayed response.
Looking at your exam time, I believe your exam was scheduled right when the training and certification team had an unexpected outage and we were forced to reschedule exams.
I understand your frustration but the team was trying to reach upcoming testers to inform about the situation.
The three day waiting time is an auto-response while creating the ticket and I'm sure you must have recieved a response much before.
Regards
Thank you again. Do you think that means I am now safe to reschedule and test?
Accidentally replied to a user instead of adding a separate comment.
So I just attempted to take my exam but ended up having it cancelled due to technical issues. Just wondering, are there any ports I should have forwarded or anything in prep for the test? I've had issues all the way through this test setup process and support reassured me every single ticket that it would be fine.
Hi,
My desktop tower is too heavy (~200 lb or even more that i cant even lift it alone) so I always put it on ground. Since there is a rule that
May I know what is and how do I do a full 360 degree scan?
