Hi @JS_Learning ,
Yes, I opened a first ticket (RHT1235666) open on 08/03 that was handled by a couple people and closed by them improperly. It was reopen, but never got an update after the reopen request.
For that reason, I opened a new request (RHT1238894) on 08/7, but it never received any updates from the day it was open.
Then I tried a slack channel with other students, and they told me to post a question in this entry.
Any more assertive predictions of when the exam below will be available to be performed remotely?
Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration Exam 248 - RHCJA
Unfortunately, no at this point. We don't have any announcements about a potential testing or piloting of EX248 yet. Nevertheless, our development teams are preparing exams one by one for Remote Exam release and hence EX248 would be taken up in future.
Ways to Test page will be updated with the latest exams set to be released.
My notebook has three USB ports. I would like to know if during the exam I can use the following format? 1 USB - webcam 1 USB - wired mouse 1 USB - bootable image
And keyboard built into the notebook
Hi @Auria ,
Yes, That appears to be the most feasible option for your device.
Please run the compatibility test to check the functionality of the webcam, mouse, and keyboard before attempting the exam.
Yes, you can use this format.
If you are planning to use an external monitor however, the equation will change. You will need to close the laptop lid and use a wired external keyboard too. This will necessitate 4 USB ports. A USB hub can be used to connect your keyboard and mouse, while the bootable image and webcam can be plugged directly in to the other two ports.
Hope this clarifies.
i have problems booting from the usb drive. I am able to boot from stick, choose "Start Red Hat Remote Exams", but afterwards it get stuck and just pixel failures are shown.
In basic graphics mode ("nomodeset") i get a black screen and with STRG-ALT-F6 i get a prompt.
Anyone have an idea?
I haven't seen this pixelated screen while testing. Do you get the same screen every time the live USB is booted?
We may have to investigate further to determine the cause if that is the case. Please raise a ticket here with your hardware details.
Could you also try booting the RE image on a different device and let me know how it goes.
i have checked another device (laptop) and it is running fine.
I will raise a ticket with hardware details, thank you!
