I am running the compatibility test and it failed at microphone volum is too low. Is there a way to switch microphone to my external USB camera?
Yes, you can change which mic to use on the initial screen just after you boot from the usb stick.

Hello,
I am having issues with my setup as the the compatibilty test for one section is failing. My setup is able to fulfill all the crteria of the compatibilty test ecpect for " you must be able to connect to the media servers" which fails with a message that " Cannot access media servers".. However I was able to join the wireless network and login to Red hat portal with my userid and password and also my setup passed the "network" section of compatibilty test. So do anyone know what may be problem with my setup? I am using a x86 HP laptop for this exam with wireless connection.
Regards Jay
Hi @Moorur ,
This thread should answer some questions around the media server test - https://learn.redhat.com/t5/General/Questions-about-getting-ready-for-your-Red-Hat-remote-exam/m-p/1...
In essence, the Media Servers checks are the connection for sharing the video and audio and its failure will deny the proctors your video feeds.
There have been a few false errors that will be fixed with the fine-tuning of the compatibility tests, but for now, If the webcam test passes and you were able to see yourself in the test video feed, you can ignore the media test failure message.
If you still have problems, I would recommend contacting the support team.

Hi @vishals
passed remote exam yesterday.
Just a feedback for the developers of the remote exam software image:
I used laptop with external monitor, mouse & German (Dell) keyboard.
1) correctly selected keyboard type but the caret '^' key didn't work - which is important for regex...
2) the right mouse button didn't work so only way to copy&paste was to use Ctrl+C/V and Ctrl+Shift+C/V
So at the end it was not a showstopper for me, but waste of time to figure out how to work around.
Regards and good luck to all exam candidates
Hartmut
Hi @Hartmut ,
Congratulations on your result and thank you for the feedback!
I have passed your feedback to the developers. The next version of the remote exam image (which is already being tested) should address the mouse right-click and copy/paste concerns.
