Dear Red Hat,
We did not receive any information regarding Exam Kiosk availability while the COVID-19 and restriction around that are in place.
In my country, the Red Hat Partners where kiosk exam resides are closing the offices due to government restrictions.
Could you please confirm that you are developing some solution which will be extending the exams expiration period for the exam until the situation will be back to normal?
Or is there any plans to attend exams from home?
I know this is a difficult time for many of us.
Please care for each other and our communities when it counts.
Stay safe and healthy.
Hello Ken,
i totally agree with you as for the standards that you ve been following since however, here what we are asking (speaking about my case), i need to do the RHCE exam on RHEL7 which is the ex300; as you know and what was planned by RedHat that the last date for taking it would be on the 1st of August; however, and as for the delays and the actual situation, it s even impossible for me to travel in order to take the exam; all what we are asking is to please review all those dates by trying to extend them so that our work and preparation will not go unseen.
Thanks a lot
Actually, last day for PURCHASE was August 1st, it's now moved to September 30th, but you have one year after purchase to consume it.
Hello,
Same situation here.
One more thing : Please keep the high standards and hands-on way of examinig.
+1 as others on this thread. @Ken
I'm in California and was trying to register for an onsite exam but the center is closed. I'm sure this problem is shared by many learning subscription members as several regions in the world are currently in quaratine mode.
It would be great if we could take the exams online similar to CNCF, where you turn on your webcam and share your desktop with a proctor monitoring at all times. When the took the CNCF CKAD, it felt like a high-standard proctored environment more than any onsite experience.
Same situation here. No plans on reopening kiosk or center, and RHCSA/RHCS7 eol.
It should be addressed.
I just found out from a Redhat training specialist that testing locations in the US are closed at least until May-1st. So we really need some form of online testing option with webcam/screen-share etc. to ensure highest standards. CNCF has always had their tests examined this way and I found it to be highly effective in maintaining flexibility, rigor, and high standards.
Yesterday I moved my exams in the last week of my ROL, I already haven't a chance to retake exams if there failed.
I hope Kiosk will be open and I can do it at once
Great news! I saw my exam eligibility was extended 3 months:
Many testing locations worldwide are temporarily closed. If your exam eligibility was scheduled to expire between March 24 and September 30, 2020, your eligibility has been extended three months. Please check back periodically to determine whether testing is available in your area. We will also be evaluating the situation regularly and adjusting eligibility when required.
Congrats!
i have too, thank you RH
Hi,
I also checked the expiration dates and I see:
I have 2 unscheduled exam. Only one of its has been extended :(
I added a new exam from ROL, but this expiration date is not extended (exp: 06.30)
