@LB9 ok I did get an update from the backend lab engineers about this workaround :
" if you use the web terminal, you can do a quick fix there and issue a reboot command
Yes, this will restart the workstation machine, but most importantly, it will allow the Guacamole session to be unlocked
The key here …Edit the .config/monitors.xml file
In the mode section return the resolution to 1024x768
<mode>
<width>1024</width>
<height>768</height>
<rate>60.000</rate>
</mode>
Again, this is for emergencies and can get you back. I’ve also had some success increasing the resolution little by little to get a 1080P environment this way.
Long term, we will be looking at setting a higher resolution for default (but this masks the issue and doesn’t resolve it)
Also, I seem to have the best luck going to 1600x900, and then it is hit or miss going to the next resolution which is 1920x1080P. "
@Chetan_Tiwary_
Thank you for the prompt response. I will continue as is.
How do I see updates on this bug? It will be much more comfortable to change the resolution to fit my setup
@LB9 I will let you know here once I get an update on it.
As of now you can try this thing , not sure if it will 100% work for you :
Change resolution to 1366*768 first then 1920×1080 via display in Settings, Workstation GUI , give some seconds to be in 1366*768 and then change the resolution.
The solution did not work.
Applied 1366*768, waited for a minute or more, then applied 1920×1080.

Thanks for bringing this up in the Learning Community. There was an outage over the weekend that affected some labs, but it has now been resolved. If you’re still experiencing issues, the best next step is to raise a support ticket directly in the Learning portal so the team can review your case and share the right options to help you move forward.
