EX200 Exam Disrupted Due to Red Hat System Error

Dear Red Hat Team, I hope you are all fine.

I logged in for my EX200 exam and completed the proctoring verification successfully. Shortly after, the proctor informed me that the system was not working and that the exam would need to be rescheduled. The proctor also stated they did not have the authority to reschedule and advised me to contact Red Hat support.

I was mentally and physically prepared for this exam and had invested significant time preparing. The unexpected interruption and uncertainty were highly distressing and disrupted my ability to proceed.

I would also like to emphasize that this issue occurred due to a problem on the Red Hat side, not mine. Despite this, I have been asked to contact the support team for rescheduling and must now wait for a response. This waiting period has caused significant mental stress, especially after preparing extensively for the exam.

I respectfully request that when such issues arise due to system errors, they be resolved promptly at the same time, rather than leaving the candidate uncertain. A faster resolution process would greatly reduce the impact on candidates who are already under pressure from exam preparation.

@umer_arshad  Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I completely understand how frustrating and stressful this situation must have been, especially after the time, effort, and preparation you invested for the EX200 exam. It’s entirely reasonable to feel disrupted and anxious when technical issues beyond your control prevent you from completing something so important.

While unwarranted issues can occur sometimes given the technical nature of the entire setup - I do agree that it should be resolved at the earliest. Having said that the resolution also depends upon the situation and the severity of the issue. I am certain that the exam support tried to resolve it asap however they could not and the best possible resolution was to reschedule.

You can contact official exam support here : https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments

They will help you with the rescheduling. Please note that you should wait for 24 hours by which the exam eligibility / voucher will be reverted to you back for rescheduling.

Dear Chetan_Tiwary,

Thank you very much for your kind understanding and for sharing the link.

My main concern was whether, in cases where the issue originates from Red Hat’s side, the examiner is able to resolve it immediately or at least escalate it directly to the Red Hat team, since being an employee they could potentially convey the issue more quickly.

That said, I truly appreciate the support provided by the Red Hat team. I reported my problem through the link you shared (https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments), and I received a response within six hours. The issue was resolved within 14 hours, allowing me to reschedule my exam successfully.

The situation was initially frustrating, I am grateful for how efficiently it was handled in the end.
