I have windows 11 and am able to create a bootable FD for Exam. After disabling the Secure Boot in the BIOS setting, I am able to boot the machine from FD but after loading the image 100% it is getting stuck and not going beyond that.

Hi
congrats to your great 10 cores CPU. It was released in Q1 of 2022, so it is rather new. Maybe this is the reason you are unable to boot the Exam system. I guess it would be supported in some future RH RE ISO releases. Please try an older, more likely compatible computer.

Just my two cents…I also had a difficult time getting the iso env to work on my current computer. I ended it buying a Dell Latitude 7390 for 75 USD and loaded AlmaLinux on it. It has no problems booting into the exam environment.

I understand I can buy/borrow a 10 year old “compatible” laptop, buy/borrow a wide angle camera but that’s not my point.
I’m on vacation with my kids and I’m sitting here with my laptop thinking why not validate my skills now that I have some spare time. I read through the material and I estimate I will need around 10hours worth of good study to refresh some Linux concepts in order to pass the rhcsa exam.
Then I look at the remote exam prep and I’m thinking is not worth it. Sorry this is my personal opinion. I appreciate the performance based type of exams that red hat offers and I feel they really validate admin skills much more than multiple choice type of exams but still browser based is a must !!!

Hi,  I wrongly input the individual RHCSA exam instead of remote exam. How could I rectify this. I would like to do the RHCSA exam from home remotely.

Hi swapon,

Can you elaborate on the difficulties? Key points that will help us help you are:

  1. What operating system are you using to burn the image to the USB drive?
  2. What application are you using to to burn the image to the USB drive?
  3. Are you having the issue while burning and if so what is the error?
  4. If the issue is not in the burning can you describe the boot issue?

Regards,
Chuck

Hi there,

I have a question regarding my room set-up during the remote exam. I have a few large bookshelves with many books etc, at the opposite side of my desk (so facing my back). Will I have to remove the contents of these bookshelves for the exam? This could take me a couple of hours easily so I'm kind of hoping it's not necessary.

Thank you in advance!
