Good Morning,
Was supposed to be taking virualization exam at 8 this morning EST. Perpared all last night to the point of using fedora write to create ISO on USB. Went out and bought an external camera. Started this morning at 7:00am to ensure on ontime start.
At 7:20 after review videos about the environment one last time, I tried booting to the USB only to get caught up with Invalid Signature Detected Check Secure Boot Policy. Googling, I see you can disable the secure boot policy - which crushed my ability to boot to anything until I restored the secure boot. I ahve tried to reach out to REDHAT for assistance, but the 866-626-2994 number says option 3, and send an email that repiled with 24-48 hour response time.
I am frustrated and dissappointed that having prepared for this exam, trouble popped up without a lot of assistance in how to get past it AS WELL AS no direct contact to a Redhat Exam support person. I sent emails to support@redhat as well as reached out for my sales person.
Troubled,
Jim
Hello @JimSaxton,
Hope you are doing well.
The current exam ISO is not secure boot compliant. You will either need a system that has Secure Boot disabled, or you will have to manually disable it from your BIOS. I would not recommend making any changes if you are familiar with the settings and can take help from an expert. It is also suggested to test the exam environment 2-3 days prior the exam ISO. The following details are already mentioned in your confirmation email as well as your " getting-ready-for-the-exam " PDF.
