this is most likely some kind of compatibility issue. Speakers are actually not needed for the exam, so you may ignore it in case you are 100% sure the mic works. There is a red bars indicator in the sound section to verify the mic is operational. Also, you may connect an external USB headphones or speakers just to check the mic during the compatibility test.

Please re-check your Sound settings. Check the output device. It is unlikely the newer system is not copatible with the sound card while the older one was. Not working speakers are, however, not a problem as speakers are not needed for the exam. The microphone is.

@herry60 you are absolutely right about running the compatibility  test beforehand to avoid lat minute issues.

Hello @herry60 ,

Yes, you are right. It is advised to test the exam environment 2-3 days prior to the exam date. So, if any reason you do face issues you can try contacting us via chat and we can help you with any issues related to the Remote Exam ISO.

Also yes, speakers are not mandatory for the exam as all communication will be over chat. But the microphone is mandatory for the exam, so make sure you test it in the exam ISO settings.

But I would also suggest resolving the issue, if it is possible.
