Hi Team,
Why Review Lab says poweroff for VM2 in Point number 5 if its SCSI Interface. In same Lab point number 2 for SCSI interface VM2 was not poweroff. As its clearly given in chapter that SCSI interface is hotplug and does not required poweroff or reboot but why its power in point number 5.
@garvchaudhary need to check and verify this, but I think unless you restart the VM the new disk will not be shown.
No as given in chapter for scsi we need not to restart or poweroff VM.
and when i did 2nd point which is same SCSI i need not to restart or poweroff vm .it detach on console and lsblk shown that disk in the list but why for shutdown of vm or poweroff of vm is needed for 5th Point and for this point no specific explaination was given in the lab.
I was talking about point 5 specifically.
Okay, But why reboot is needed for 5th Point its SCSI only and chapter says no reboot or poweroff is needed for SCSI.
ok I will check about this and let you know.
Thanks Chetan !!!
@Chetan_Tiwary_ Hi Chetan, did you get time for research on this ?
@RH-Yamato Can you help me on this Please.
@garvchaudhary did not yet get to check on this. Generally speaking it should work without restart - but need to check the backend storage class if it is making it not work without restart. I will let you know once I have a concrete solution on this. I did attempt the lab and it did not show the sdb unless I add it after stopping and then restarting the VM which was weird for me as well.
