I was not able to login to perform the tasks in my last exam as the dafault password given in the exam for all root user. I see there are ways which you can login to node 2 like control the boot process and change the root user password. Does that step get accounted in the overall score when you login to node 2 via the boot process?
Hello @avinash_kumar !
I will suggest you to read the exam instructions carefully and do it as per the demand of exam. The VMs will be rebooted post your exam during grading and the passwords and other system configurations should be as per the instructions & requirement ( surviving the reboot obviously ) and should not render your VMs unbootable.
@clementcheuk keeping NDA in focus, my advise is to read exam instructions carefully and you will get the required details there.
Wonderful advice as this post is very close to being filtered as possible discussion on exam details are capable of being shared. That being said and there have been two (2) separate cautions here, I would like to provide a little more detail and pointers.
There are two (2) types of instructions and information for the exam. There are the individual task instructions and information provided to candidates regarding specific tasks needing to be performed. There is also the "Additional Information" and overall documentation and information about the exam environment. This contains very important details about the environment such as usernames/passwords, IP addresses, FQDNs, repository information, and general important information that may help and provide assistance with individual exam objectives and questions. This is also where you can find the web/PDF copies of the Red Hat documentation that the exam team provides.
I strongly suggest before looking at any of the tasks to look in and review the Additional Documentation link. I often open that in a separate browser tab or a completely separate window so I can refer back to that often for clarification. Trust me, the 5-10 minutes looking at that documentation and understanding the environment can go a long way in time management and understanding for your exam experience.
