Hello all!  I'm Roy Williams.  I am one of just a handful of Red Hat Consultants located in WV.  I am a platform consultant, so my day is usually spent working on Satellite or other platform/infrastructure products.  I am also very passionate about IdM/FreeIPA.

In my spare time I play firefighter and some times teach others how to be firefighters.

Who I am:

I'm a  Berto short for (Alberto), a Senior Consultant with Red Hat specializing in deploying specializing Red Hat OpenStack.  I've been at Red Hat for a very short amount of time of approximately 6 months.  I am excited to be part of this community as I am a strong believer in sharing, mentoring, and fostering the growth of aspiring technical professionals as well as experienced professionals seeking to switch their disciplines.   I have been working exclusively with Linux since 2005 which contains a journey through a number of technologies and disciplines since then.   I have been focused on OpenStack as a practice since the Juno release and look towards to contribute as well as learn about any future topics relating to Linux, OpenStack, Ceph, IDM and Satellite.

Where I'm based:

Tampa, FL

My workstation:

Lenovo Thinkpad | Fedora 27

The discipline I enjoy the most is:

OpenStack of course as it is my primary discipline professionally,  however I am focused on Ceph heavily it is my next certificate of expertise as well as my chosen secondary discipline.  In general  I enjoy finding and fixing broken stuff, you know, just finding that needle in the haystack as they say.

Highest Red Hat Certification:

Not quite an RHCA yet, however I am one certificate of expertise away from that accomplishment. My current set of certifications look as the following:

RHCSA
RHCE
RHCSA in Red Hat OpenStack
RHCE in Red Hat OpenStack
RH Certificate of Expertise in Virtualization
RH Certificate of Expertise in Ansible

What do I do a in my spare time ?

What spare time ?   We have an 11 month old that takes all of spare time :-).

I look towards contributing to the community and thank you for your introductions ( Yes, I read them all).

Howdy all, I'm Nicole Baratta the Content Strategist for AMQ 7. Have been working in open source (both communities and for companies) for over 10 years now.  I was one of the first opensource.com community moderators and have published a few books on technologies for libraries (under the name Nicole Engard).

I'm based in Austin, TX with my 2 shelties and 1 cat.

In my spare time, I act as the director of ChickTech Austin, a local nonprofit that works with high school girls to introduce them to careers in technology.

I am George Hacker (yeah, that's my actual surname). I have been involved with Red Hat Training as a contractor or employee for 18 years. I have been a Red Hat employee over 11 years.

I have instructed various RHCE-level and RHCA-level courses. I have been an author of many of those courses. I am currently a manager of the Curriculum Development team at Red Hat.

My base of operations is out of my home in the Pacific Northwest. I live in the southern area of Washington, about 40 minutes away from Portland International Airport (PDX).

Thank you for taking our curriculum and making it come to life. You are changing the world for the better one student and classroom at a time.

Who I am:

Steve Bonneville, designer for the RHEL, Management/Automation, and Storage courses.  I've been a production sysadmin, instructor, Red Hat consultant (briefly), course author, team manager, and course architect.  I've been kicking around Red Hat since 2000.

Where I'm based:

Minneapolis, Minnesota

My workstation:

Lenovo ThinkPad P50 running current Fedora is my main working environment.  Virtualization and the cloud have been such a major win for being able to spin up miniature environments for experimentation and testing.

The discipline I enjoy the most is:

System Administration, cruel mistress though she be.

My favorite course to teach:

I hate to pick favorites, but right now it'd be Ansible.  Ask me again in a few months!

My favorite toy as a kid:

I'm still a kid in my head.  Probably Lego, or Star Wars action figures.

In My Spare Time, I . . .

Bicycle, read a lot.  I'm another Kerbal Space Program fan, too, when I have the time.
