Hi,
currently there are three different versions available when registering for the Exam:
What are the exact differences of these Exam versions ?
They seem to be based on RHEL 8, RHEL 8.4 and RHEL9 respectively, but what other differences are to be expected ? Is the Ansible version used in the three Exam versions also different ?
The official Exam objectives do not mention anything about the different Exam versions:
So does that mean the objectives are identical no matter which Exam Version I choose ?
I just wanted to check, if the exam obectives have been updated, as Red Hat tends to even dramatically change the exam objectives, even for the same version of the exam! As I started preparing for RHCSA and took a few month break (as of urgend work projects), I ended up, buying a new course book, because a big portion of the (same) exam has changed in the meantime.
@bzaman When you write the only change in the course is an "Introduction of Ansible Automation Platform", should I expect, that the Ansible Automation Platform can be actaully part of the exam (v8.4) or is it just an introduction in the course?
Best place to ask if the objectives are looking wrong is still https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments -- that's monitored by the certification folks and if they keep getting folks asking directly I'd expect something would be done if needed. I'm not sure how closely they monitor this forum.
I want to know if this is version 9 or 8.4
Hi Guys,
So what's latest on this Topic, i have booked an exam v8.4 and now it seems the outline of exam is updated. So whats the latest? "Introduction of Ansible Automation Platform" is still part of the exam?
Thanks.
Now there are only 2 versions available for EX294 , one for V8/V8.X and another for V9. The V8.X version uses the ansible-playbook and similar syntaxes and structures that was there before with V7 also ; But the V9 version has a lot of changes , and comes with a red hat built container image to go with , also - ansible-navigator is introduced , collections are introduced ; so lots of changes in V9.
Most of the old content for the RHCSA was moved to RH358 course / EX358 exam:
