Jump to solution

Hello, fellow learners! I come from a background in public cloud with basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Now, I'm eager to dive into OpenShift. What are your top recommendations for someone like me who's looking to transition into OpenShift smoothly?

Hello @nuri !

Thanks for reaching out!

Congratulations for the decision to dive into the world of OpenShift ! Since you have a background in public cloud with basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes - I would recommend you to go for DO180 ( https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/red-hat-openshift-administration-i-containers-kubernetes ) course to quickly revise the basics of containers, kubernetes and OpenShift.

Then you should go for the OpenShift Administrator certificate/ exam ( EX280 ) for which the recommended course is DO280 ( https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/Red-Hat-OpenShift-Administration-II-Operating-a-Producti... ).

Enroling into the training gives you advanage of a streamlined standard course with lab environment to practice the hands on scenarios.

Here is the exam link which contains the objectives too : https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/red-hat-certified-openshift-administrator-exam?section=o...

Refer the OpenShift documentation : https://docs.openshift.com/ for all future references.

Feel free to reach out to the community for any help or query !

Hi,

In the latest Red Hat Developer Weekly Newsletter:

E-book: Operating OpenShift: An SRE Approach to Managing Infrastructure

I've downloaded and started reading this book, it's a great OpenShift manual.

Regards,

Ilya.
