It could be the network. If you are on Wifi, check the "link speed" in the adapter details (settings when you boot). Upload speed is important. Secondly, there may be some restriction set in the firewall

@jenjob12 might be something to do with the network. Try rebooting few times. Connect to a different network and check (may be to mobile hot spot to test). Also, ensure use are using latest version of ISO (202306) to boot

Hello,

I'm preparing my laptop for my upcoming EX280 exam.

1. Downloaded the Fedora MediaWrite for windows home 11
2. Downloaded latest rhrexboot-2023-06.iso
3. Created USBLive

When I choose the boot from USB, I'm getting the below error.

Could you please help me with it.WhatsApp Image 2024-10-09 at 3.51.21 PM.jpeg

@SrinivasMamidal Just try typing exit, then hit enter and see if it loads further

It is better to contact technical support on their chat
https://red.ht/remote-exam-chat

I think you can make sure to boot in UEFI mode if you booted Legacy (or viceversa)
Remove everything connected to the computer that you do not need and try again.
If nothing helps, it is probably some compatibility issue and a different computer must be used. I assume you created the usb thumb drive correctly

Good morning, I downloaded the liveUSB from the remote desktop to my USB drive and placed it, but while the language, keyboard and network were being configured, upon completion I received the following error message:

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at rhie-poa.redhat.com.

• The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

• If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

• If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that OpenKiosk is permitted to access the Web.

Try Again

What should I do? If I configured a Wi-Fi network or would not having the webcam yet affect that part? I was going to connect it when the compatibility test is done.

On the other hand, the camera must necessarily be compatible with Linux or would only Windows allow me to access the exam?

Hi @anfi I'm afraid you've created the live USB correctly ! You've to download the exam image (ISO) https://red.ht/rhrex then you should burn/write it on to USB drive using any applications like Fedora Media Writer or any similar ones like Rufus etc. Once it is written successfully, you've to boot using the same USB drive.

Not connecting the external webcam should not impact on the boot but do not wait for the compatibility test to be completed to connect the external webcam. It is recommend to run the compatibility test with complete setup along with external webcam connected and ensure all the tests are passed.

Devices compatible with Fedora 37 would ideally work with and be compatible with exam image.
