I would love to see the RHLC logo up top somehwhere. Perhaps even in place of the "Red Hat Learning Community" text at the top left. Just a thought. The logo is really nice and if it's towards the top of the screen, it will get better brand recognition.
I would like a logo image, maybe even with an embedded link, that I can add to my personal web site or post on other social media that says that I am a member of this community click here to find out more,
What I am thinking of is something like certification team has badges with embedded links and a use agreement that I can use on my site. In this case it is a common badge that used by anyone.
@Susan is this a feature you would still be interested in? We have several instructor inspired features launched in 2019, such as a "Follow" feature and a "personalized" experience.
I would be interested in seeing a section that talks about upcoming classes.
Maybe have the presenter of the class give a quick write-up for the classes that are currently in early access. And then a listing that shows classes that are 90-180 days or some other timeframe.
@S_Russell Thank you for this great feedback - this inspired the team to create a section in our community for this purpose. Although we cannot announce Red Hat Training and Certification offerings to the public before they launch, you can still be the first to know when they do go to market.
To be the first to know about new offerings - subscribe to the Course & Exam Announcements section - we have some exciting news coming.
Perhaps this will be covered by the "Certification Central Integration" but it would be nice to thave the RHCP badge appear on a user's profile.
@BramMertens Are you a Red Hat Certified Professional? If so, you can earn the red "RHCP" indicator next to your name by verifying your cert id in the community. You can do so at the Red Hat Training Profile page.
Please allow for 24 hours after entering your cert id for it to be verified. In addition to the RHCP indicator you also unlock access to a gated board, called the Red Hat Certified Professional board, which will appear in the Discuss tab after verification takes place.
I work with IT Security (Pentest, Hardening, Auditing, etc) for a long time. Currently is my main area.
Recently I looked at RH415 content and liked it aproach about technical issues.
About metodology, I suggest to take a look at OSSTMM and OWASP.
This first project have a good material about metodology, in a generic way.
1) Apart from the badge and logo tweaks, we need a subforum to discuss about certification experiences, give a pat on back of latest achievers who announce it, discuss concerns 'that fly under NDA . That will make monitoring easy.
2) A forum each for off topic discussion, non technical discussion and testing new features.
3) A way to report a thread or reply to admins and mods in case of spam, not abiding to rules, offensive contents, off topic to particular forum or thread etc. Something like "report" or "flag" next to share button.
4) As requested previously, a sub forum to post ideas, feature requests, improvement suggestions.
5) A rank based badging system. -optionally-
